my approach
My main frameworks are Narrative and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, however, I do consider myself to be integrative. It is important to integrate other frameworks depending on what best suits the client. These frameworks include: Internal Family Systems, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
My overall approach is to guide and support the client as they reflect on events, people, and experiences that have contributed to their story. Through understanding the history and different intersectional influences on the presented issue, the client and I will work together to process and productively find the appropriate course of action.
Being in the field for several years, I have training and experience with various clientele, including PTSD, Borderline Personality, ADHD, Interpersonal Conflict, 2SLGBTQI+ Mental Health, Body Dysmorphia, Narcissistic Relationships/Dynamics, Relationships & Attachment and Perinatal Mental Health.
I am a BIPOC and 2SLGBTQI+ ally and I am very mindful of the challenge affecting marginalized groups, gender-based challenges, and cultural challenges.
I'd love to make this journey as smooth as I can for you. You are the storyteller of your life, and my role is to support you while you write, edit, and enhance the pages.
