Shagun is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling from Yorkville University, which she achieved after completing her Bachelors in Psychology from York University. Individualism within the therapeutic setting is encouraged through a non-judgemental approach. Sessions are conducted through validation of individual journeys and needs. She is very mindful of LGBTQIA+ issues, issues affecting marginalized groups, gender-based issues, and cultural issues. Shagun finds your comfort and safety to be the utmost priority, while understanding that the first steps to therapy can be challenging. Shagun looks forward to supporting you through your journey.
Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and PTSD
Shagun obtained a Clinical Traumatologist Certificate from the Traumatology Institute, has Emotionally Focused Therapy training from the International Centre for Excellence, and has training in Narrative Therapy.
In addition to English, Shagun has strong comprehension skills in Hindi.
Shagun has worked with children, adolescents, and adults who have faced trauma, family and/or interpersonal issues, dissatisfaction with life decisions, bereavement, emotional management, self-esteem, grief, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, abuse, issues with self-identity, and other issues that affect one’s quality of life.
